I am a mosaic of everyone I've ever met.

(Eternally torn between my wish to be perceived as a mysterious girl and my tendency to overshare)

I'm Lu, a 20-something neuroscientist from Rome, Italy.

I like too many things and enjoy talking to people who also like too many thing.

In my free time, I pick up new hobbies which I regularly quit because I am not immediately as good as I want to be.

I love surfing on Neocities and reading the "about" section on every website.

I love olive oil and cotton and despise butter and polyester.

I crave human connection.

If I had been born in the right tax bracket, I'd be a patron of the arts right now. A Y2K Peggy Guggenheim (messy private life included!). I'd have discovered new fashion designers, financed the weirdest indie projects, and had at least two museums and one gallery named after me.

Despite my love for the arts, I possess very little artistic talent (unless you count writing silly, smutty fanfictions as a form of art). Maybe after retirement, I'll enroll in one of those community art courses full of lovely ladies, and I'll finally learn how to draw.

I like cute and cozy stuff and cannibalism as a metaphor of love and desire.

I'm non-religious, but I grew up in a Catholic family in a Catholic country, so I'm still very much obsessed with Catholic imagery, Catholic churches, depictions of the Holy Mary, and the concept of redemption.

I hate tourism and tourists, and I love Anthony Bourdain.

I have 2 cats and they are the most affectionate cats ever and I love them so much it makes me wanna cry.

I hate how everything is an ad now, and I hate constantly feeling like a consumer, which is why I can't stand the current state of social media.

I probably already said too much, ugh.

Anyway, if you want to get in touch, you can write to me at: imbrifera[at]proton.me.

Bye!
