Pedro Almodovar is one of my mom's favorite directors. She made me watch this movie when I was 12, and we immediately bonded over it. Even though I was probably too young to fully understand some aspects of it, I instantly fell in love with its chaotic energy, vibrant colors, and Candela's coffee pot earrings. Hilarious, camp, amazing characters, what more can you honestly want from a movie?

The movie that made me fall in love with the art of animation. I saw it for the first time when I was a child and loved it immediately, then rewatched it as a teenager and it hit so hard... A beautiful tale about grief, forgiveness, and the power of kindness.
